Have you ever wondered what it would be like to run a business? In the Westshore class, Business Management, students learn just that.

Juniors in Business Management are required to take a test to become certified in Microsoft. The certification is offical, and if the students pass the tests and the class, they can get up to 15 college credits. Along with learning everything about Microsoft, students learn entry-level accounting.

With their knowledge on running a business, the class runs the student supply store. The students are in charge of inventory, the cash register, everything necessary to run a successful business. Within the classes, there is a president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. Those job titles come out mainly when running the store. The majority of the students love Business Management, and don?t regret taking the class.

?I love the class a lot. It?s not as hard as it comes off to be. There?s a lot of logical thinking, so if you like that, you should take the class,? says President of the Junior class, Ivy Hanrahan.

The senior class is required to get a job, and if students work more than 15 hours a week, they don?t have to come to class.

?I don?t at all regret taking Business Management. It?s enjoyable, informative and I couldn?t have asked for a better teacher than Mrs. Plute,? says senior Nathan Nader.
